Rare, coveted opportunity in one of Kauai's favorite locales; Poipu Beach Estates. Set at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, this nearly half-acre unit #2 of the two-unit Makalea CPR offers a rare combination of space, privacy, and proximity to the South Shore's amenity-rich community of Poipu. The property features ocean view potential and sits astride an extraordinary archaeological preserve ensuring that the neighboring open space and natural landscape will be a long-term benefit. The lot’s shape and gentle slope provide a strong foundation for a thoughtful home design whether you envision a contemporary island residence, a classic plantation-inspired layout or a retreat with guest quarters. The generosity of space allows for a pool and spa and uncommon outdoor living area. Some of the hallmarks of PBE are in-place utilities which include sewer-connectivity, municipal water, electricity and additional irrigation water on private roads with reasonable HOA fees and sensible community guidelines. Poipu Beach Estates is one of the few South Shore communities within the Visitor Destination Area (VDA) where nightly vacation rentals (TVR) are permissible. Located just minutes from the Shops at Kukuiu’ula, Poipu Shopping Village, Kiahuna and Poipu Bay Golf, the amenities at the Koloa Landing, Marriot and Sheraton resorts along with beach and ocean access galore. Known for its generous homesites and accessibility, Makalea Street offers an exceptional opportunity; a well-located home-site in an established premier community, where the value of relative privacy and convenient access to the best Poipu has to offer abounds.
